Application Submission Deadline | October - April | - Many lower-ranked business schools may extend their application deadlines, but it’s best not to rely on this.
- Some business schools require you to answer a few subjective questions (e.g., Statement of Purpose, Why MBA) as part of the application. Get these answers reviewed by your faculty before submission.

Entrance Exams | September – February | - MICAT is held twice a year (in December and February), while MAT is held four times a year (February, May, September, December). NMAT spans almost three months, allowing a maximum of three attempts.
- IIFT takes place in November/December/January. XAT usually occurs in January. CAT is conducted in the last quarter of the year, and SNAP in December/January.

Group Discussions/Essay and Interviews | January - April | - Some institutes begin their GWPI (Group Discussion, Written Test, and Personal Interview) processes immediately after result announcements. Start preparing for GWPI early.

Final Results Announcement | February - May | - Many business schools maintain waitlists, updated periodically even after the term starts.
- According to AICTE norms, if you withdraw admission from a business school after paying fees, they must refund the amount, deducting only a nominal handling charge.
- Provisional admission may be granted if your college results are not yet declared at the start of the academic year. Check with the admissions department for specific policies.
